Leading Online Gaming Affiliate Program takes highest honours in Casino Affiliate Programmes Awards 2008
GIBRALTAR – February 7, 2008 – ReferBack, the exclusive affiliate program of leading online gaming giant, Carmen Media Group, came up tops in this year’s prestigious CAP Awards when it was chosen as Best Overall Affiliate Programme at a glamorous black tie event at the Olympia Conference Centre in London last week.
Although hosted by CAP, all nominations were done by affiliates who also determined the winners through voting in each category. Affiliate programmes from all over the world were nominated in 14 categories, with ReferBack being nominated as Best Overall Affiliate Program as well as Best Casino Affiliate Program.
“We are honoured and delighted” said Grant Laubscher of ReferBack. “Although it is always great to win awards, receiving the highest honours in the CAP Awards, is especially satisfying. It is the most valuable accolade an Affiliate Programme could ever hope for as the voters are the affiliates whom they serve.
“For ReferBack this translates into a strong vote of confidence from our affiliates and is a clear indication that our continuous quest for new ways to grow and improve our product offerings combined with our strategy to partner with individuals who are serious about making money, are paying off for everyone concerned.” For example ReferBack is now offering Jackpot City Casino, which now features a fully integrated multi-language solution including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Furthermore, the new Jackpot City Bingo product has also proved to be very profitable for ReferBack affiliates.
Referback has had a strong relationship with Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP) since its inception in 2004 – and is regarded by CAP as a Casino Affiliate Program benchmark. This clearly contributes to Referback’s highly credible standing in the casino affiliate community.

Subpoenas Continued!!
Last week subpoenas were sent out to advertising venues that work in conjunction with Bodog Life, an online gambling site. While this has nothing to do with the legislation related to online gambling industry, but rather an ugly patent lawsuit.
The founder of Bodog Calvin Ayre has his own personal blog to refute these charges, and insisted that 1st Technology, Scott Lewis is a “patent troll”.
Lewis stated: “First of all, if you did you research you’d know that myself or 1st Technology LLC are not “patent trolls” – and to continue to say this is not only defamation/libel, it’s stupid. 1st Tech is a technology development company – which includes creating inventions, licensing, and commercializing innovation via business ventures and product/software development. We have dozens of innovations patent pending, a core set of issued patents relating to multimedia transmission optimization, and a software development in the legal/regulated Internet gaming field. I’m the sole inventor for all of our issued patents some of which we license to leading companies, involved in high performance multimedia entertainment products and services, who respect intellectual property rights. Licensing helps 1st Tech invest in new innovations and software development efforts – and reflects decades of effort and the greater part of my life’s work.”

The New Year started rather quietly this year, till the news came of arrest, Indictments, and subpoenas, and inquiries. Now that is about to all change.
Poker Players Alliance continues to sit back and watch as online poker operates on a tightrope, Gambling911.com reveals there is at least one sealed indictment against an online poker operator whom they can not name. Gambling911.com readers are well aware, this “super source” also provided us an absolute potent piece of information pertaining to the indictments of two Neteller officials. The Neteller news was broken by Gambling911.com a full day before the Associated Press picked up on it.
Gambling911.com works around the clock!” an angry Payton O’Brien, Senior Editor of Gambling911.com, snarled. “The PPA seems to have abbreviated bankers hours. Someone needs to put fire under their ***es.”
