I’m sure most, if not all of you, know what’s going on with Tusk Investments and their closing down of several casinos and poker rooms that they operated last year. I’m posting this because they’re currently in liquidation and had sent a letter to their creditors, and if you haven’t been paid yet, here’s a point of contact.

Tusk Investment Corporation
Email: tusk@ppb.com.au; or
Telephone: +61 7 3831 2700
Grant Sparks and Ray Richards
Joint & Several Liquidators

I strongly urge you to contact them as soon as possible if you are still owed money from this group. There’s still a chance that you might get paid..

You can read the full report here.

The list of poker rooms and casinos that were under their operation are as follows:

Dave Irvine to deliver keynote speech at Amsterdam Affiliate Conference
March 14, 2009

iGaming Business, host of the upcoming Amsterdam Affiliate Conference (Previously titled CAP Euro: Amsterdam) has announced that they have chosen Dave Irvine to be the keynote speaker at this event which is scheduled to run from April 30th – May 3rd.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with who Dave Irvine is, let me give you some background. He was part of the legendary MIT blackjack team, which won over $10 million from casinos all over the world, but mostly in Vegas, during the 90′s.

Dave Irvine’s 35 minute speech is scheduled for Saturday May 2nd, and will be followed by a Q&A session. Both the movie “21″ and the book “Bringing Down the House” were real accounts of this infamous MIT blackjack team, but, as with most stories, I have to say the book was much better. But, neither of which can compare to seeing Dave Irvine in person and to get his personal inside accounts of beating the casinos (legally!) out of millions of dollars.

One great thing about this conference is that iGaming Business has opened the door to all affiliates. Previously, if affiliates wanted to attend the conferences for free, they had to have an account at the CAP (Casino Affiliate Programs) forum.

Please visit the Amsterdam Affiliate Conference website for conference details and information on how to register for this event.

Affiliate Club is Blacklisted – Rogue Terms for Affiliates and Players alike

Even though this decision wasn’t easy to make, it had to be done if we are to help protect both affiliates and players.

Affiliate Club, which handles the affiliate programs for Casino Club, Casino Club Poker, Poker Kings and Slots Club, has refused to pay a legitimate player which had won a sizable sum.

But, it gets worse.

Affiliate Club is also trying to strong-arm affiliates into continued support of their properties by adding a new term into their affiliate contract; which basically says that if an affiliate is to cease advertising of their casinos, they will not be paid any monies that are currently owed to them.

This means that affiliates that advertise Affiliate Club‘s properties have two choices if they have a complaint or problem. They can either keep sending players to their casinos and poker rooms and hope for the best, or they can drop them from their affiliate portal(s) and lose any money that’s owed to them.

We’re taking the high road here and dropping them. Sure we’ll lose some money in the process, but we have very strong ethics and will not, by any means, promote any sites that are not player and/or affiliate friendly.

Please make sure you take the high road as well. We have added a warning page for Affiliate Club and their properties, and have added them to our blacklist, as well.

Again, the affected properties are:

* Casino Club
* Casino Club Poker
* Poker Kings
* Slots Club
* Affiliate Club

As many of you know, the industry is in a bit of a turmoil right now, which is a major factor in these efforts of what is basically self-regulation.
