Default Horrible Weather

I hope that you all are somewhere nice and warm, cause in my little corner of the world we now have around 13" in snow on the ground and it is freezing cold out there.

Not to mention when the weather turns like this, there is always a problem with power outages and car accidents and so on to deal with.

Though in my areas where I live there was a level 3 emergency issued which meant that if you didnt need to be out on the roads you stay home. There were even a couple of arrests made because people were attempting to get out to go shopping and what not.

The arrests were made because cars were slowing down the salt trucks making it more difficult for them to keep the streets clear of snow and ice.

I hate this weather, though I am thankful that I was prepared for it all and I can safely stay right here at home and not have to worry about going anywhere at all, and thankfully I can play all the bingo I want online when the weather takes a turn for the worse like it did last night and today.

We have not gotten any snow yet, but i think we may this weekend. It is cold outside. I am sure ready to see spring, but I think it will be a late one this year.

I am ready to get outside and get fresh air. I am sure glad I have my computer to keep me occupied..LOL

And we are in for another round of the same plus high winds.

Tomorrow we are to get an additional 5 to 12 inches of snow on top of what we already have. Plus we will have high winds which will cause more power outages because of the heavy snow on the trees. And the wind will cause more trees to fall.

We have shelters that have been set up in most areas for people who lose their electricity and heat in this frigid weather. Its been down in the single digits a couple of nights and that is far to cold for the very young and the elderly to have to deal with.

Tomorrow morning will find a lot of people at the grocery stores trying to stock up again, which could be a problem if the trucks havent been able to deliver because of the last storm.

My daughter went to our local store yesterday and came back telling us that there was a shortage in grocery supplies there because the trucks havent delivered yet.

But, we are good to go for another round.

Well it looks like right now we are not gonna get snow, but we are getting high winds and as wet as the ground is there will be trees blown over.

I rather have the snow than the winds. We get enough winds during hurricane SEASON..lol

I can totaly relate to your feelings calling it horrible weather, but for people like me,who never hardly ever get the chance to see snow,it was wonderful. When it started snowing in Wilmington N.C. I thought I was dreaming when I walked outside last night. The white stuff was everywhere. The only other time that I have seen any amount of snow on the ground was in 1989,when we have a blizzard that dropped about a foot or better of snow on the ground.

For the first time kids around here not only got to see snow, they actually had enough to have snow ball fights with and to build snowmen in.I thoughly enjpyed sitting and watching all of the children enjoying the snow.
