Bingo as an exercise.
Well, Bingo Chatter members, believe it or not, bingo can be a form of exercise. Upper body exercise, which is good for you and helps the elderly maintain flexibility.
Just getting to the bingo hall is a form of exercise even though most people dont walk very far, they at least are getting out of the house and getting a little weight bearing exercise in. And if they do bingo several times a week, it all adds up.
The upper body exercise from setting up for and playing bingo, as I said, keeps the arms, shoulders and neck more flexible. And flexibility is something we do lose as we age.
But the most important part of the excerise in bingo is the excerise your mind gets. The brain is just like any other part of the body, it needs to be used, and I have noticed through the years, that the older people who do bingo a couple of times a week dont seem to suffer from the emotional and mental problems that other older folks do.
So, do your body and mind a favor, go to bingo and enjoy.
