Default Gambling journel

Keep a journal of all of your gambling transactions. Deposits made, when they were made, how they were made. You must safeguard yourself and this is the best way to do so.
Keep records of wins and losses. If you buy lottery tickets keep your losers they come in handy if you have a big win. They subtract them from the amount of the win saving you a small fortune in taxes.
I want everyone to have a good time but I also want them to protect there own interests. There isn't anyone else in the world who is going to worry about your money better than you yourself.

I must admit that I have never thought of saving the tickets which were losers. I am glad that I now know it could possibly save me if I were to win. Do you know how long they should be saved for? I keep most of my important stuff for several years, is it the same for old tickets as well?

They should be saved as you would any other documentation. The reason for this is in case the IRS decides to do an audit on you, you will need proof of what you used to offset the win.

So keep them just as you would any other tax information or important documents.
