How Playing Bingo Can Help You Mentally
This sounds strange doesn’t it? But the facts are that playing bingo requires the use of the brain that we often lose with age.
It is a proven fact by psychologist that people who play bingo, at any age were faster and more accurate, than those that don’t play. And that is a fact that when tested older bingo players by far outperformed young players.
As we age it is known to affect many abilities, such as speed, concentration, accuracy, and recognition of patterns. Playing bingo requires all these skills. It is also proven that bingo helps the mind more than working crossword puzzles.
Playing bingo has all the benefits such as tension, excitement and the social aspect that is beneficial to mental functions. So why does this game deserve the negative stereotype it gets?
I think bingo is healthy and good for the mind, especially in us that are losing parts of our brain as we age. I also think that more research on this will and should be studied more.
