    Daniel Tzvetkoff UpdateThere has been more than a few who have wondered aloud why Daniel Tzvetkoff would be allowed to make bail in his case as a Las Vegas court had ruled before. It seems a New York court has another idea and today, sighting that Tzvetkoff was a serious flight risk, revoked his bail.     David Williams Wins WPT World Championship

    Most of us will recall David Williams bursting on the scene in 2004 with his 2nd place win at the 35th World Series of Poker Event. He beat the likes of Josh Arieh, Dan Harrington and Marcel Luske but fell one short of eventual champion Greg Raymer.Eventually David Williams won his first WSOP bracelet in 2006. In the WPT arena his resume is just as good with two fourth place finishes and a second.

    Daniel Tzvetkoff Indicted By Grand Jury

    Brisbane businessman Daniel Tzvetkoff, former CEO of gambling funds processor Intabill Inc., has been indicted by a federal grand jury. He now faces up to 75 years in prison and over $500 million in fines if convicted. The grand jury indicted him on charges of illegal gambling, money laundering and bank fraud.

    Canada Pushing Legal Online Gambling

    It seems like Canada is considering taking steps to get there part on the $30 billion global online gambling market. Though gambling online is legal in Canada, operating a gambling site in that country is not. Meeting at the Canadian Gaming Summit in Calgary this week, online gambling officials, including John FitzGerald, president of the Interactive Gaming Council are calling for a change. They would like to see governments take action to protect players from being taken advantage off.

    Banker Weighs In On UIGEA

    Steve Kenneally, Vice President of the American Bankers Association, recently gave an interview where he spoke out against UIGEA. In the interview, he called the law ineffective and a costly piece of legislation.  He stated that the banks will be able to enforce the law in most cases, but it will take time to implement. He went on to state that there are certain types of transactions that the banks will not be able to stop. One example would be wire transfers.
