    Florida and Hawaii Fail to Pass Online Poker Bill

    At least they are trying…maybe that’s is how we should look at all the attempts by state lawmakers to get online gambling legalized within their state borders. At least the attempt is being made and online gambling is being considered, but being considered is about as far as Florida and Hawaii got. In Florida yesterday, the Senate Criminal Justice Committee killed a bill that would regulate online poker within the state when their vote ended in a 2-2 tie. The Sen.

    Online Poker in Washington D.C.

    It seems like every month another state takes a run at online gambling regulation. Lately it seems online poker had been the main subject of talks. Washington DC is now looking for a way to legalize online poker within its district borders. The D.C. Council already passed a proposal last December that allows the D.C. Lottery to offer “games of skill and games of chance” online. So now we are looking at Thursday as the next big date for this proposal to take effect.
