Sensible Online Gaming Tips

What do you need to know to use Casino Bonus Offers?
You need to read the terms and instructions at the Casino site. Almost all Casino Bonuses have certain conditions attached to them. Usually you have to play some before cashing them out.

Which type of casino bonus is right for you?
If you are playing for the first time, you may want to go for the completely free casino bonus, no deposit required. This is great for getting your feet wet and learning about online Casinos.

Here is one such bonus:

Get your first $20 FREE

You could also go to the section for just the game you like (choose from the menu above) pick the Casino most recommended or most appealing to you and go there to play for free. Almost all Casinos will let you try the games totally free, with no deposit required.

Or you might want to try a Casino that asks for very small deposits and offers you more than 100% match play casino coupons. This gives you more money to ride out a possible streak of bad luck.

Here is an offer like that:

$40 free with a purchase of $20! Can be claimed 5 times in 1st month of registration.

If you have played before, you may want to go to a casino that gives you a match bonus when you deposit a little more money. A 100% match Bonus on a $100 deposit makes it very much more likely that you will win. The size of your bankroll will be a nice cushion this way.

You can find such an offer here: A Get A 100% MATCH BONUS!!!!YOU CAN GET $200 FREE! CLICK HERE!
Here, like any place else, the more money you have the more money you make. The casinos listed under "Big Rollers" give you a percentage of your deposit as bonus. You can get some substantial sums of money if you make a deposit of $1000 or more. The larger your bankroll, the longer you can play, the more likely you are to win.

Here is such an offer:

50% Deposit Bonus up to $500 Free!

Of course it takes some self discipline. You need to stop when you are winning. I know, the games are so much fun to play that one just wants to keep playing. If you can afford it, you can of course play until you hit the big one.

Do not chase your losses. I know, you may think that odds are that you will do better momentarily when you are on a losing streak. Odds are you will do better, yes, but you don't know when. It is prudent to stop and come back later, or to just play another game.

Most online Casinos pay out between 95% and 98% of what they take in. That's pretty good odds if you ask me!

You can find current bonuses listed at Games and Casino!

Playing in Poker Rooms

The following games are offered in the various Internet poker rooms:

Texas Hold'em

Texas Hold'em can be found all over the world. Each player receives two down cards and five community cards, these are face-up in the middle of the table). You want to pick the best five of those seven cards and the best hand wins the pot. The pot can also be won by someone betting if no one calls before getting seven cards.

Strategy:

Shorthand Limit Texas Hold'em

Starting hands

Flop

Bluffing

Limit Hold'em with eight or more players

The most important thing to remember is that in limit Fold'em you want to have an advantage going into the flop.

Starting Hands:

Wait to be dealt the quality hands, and just win with those.

AA, KK, QQ, JJ and AK

These are the very best hands. Play aggressively. With AA, you want to see as much money as possible in the pot, so reraise. For AK you will need to hit an ace or a king. Do not get in a raising war with one player because s/he likely has a pocket pair already.

TT, 99, AQ and QK

These are good hands. Most likely, you will need help from the board. Raise to knock players out - the less players the better.

AJ, AT, KJ, QJ, 10J

These are also good hands. Cautiously play AJ, AT and KJ. You can lose to a higher kicker. Play only if your hand is suited. Raise to knock players out, but do not call a raise.

88, 77, 66, 109, 98, 87, 76

These hands need help from the board. Play only if your hand is suited.

Flop

1. If you are winning but your hand can be beat, you hope a player will bet to you so you can raise. If you are in late position and no one has bet, you must bet to knock people out.

2. If you have three of a kind or maybe even a full house on the flop you do not need to knock players out. You will likely win. Do reraise however if you suspect someone of having a better hand than you have.

3. If you have the second best hand, treat the hand as a drawing hand or simply fold.

4. If you have nothing-just fold at the first bet.

Double Flop Hold'em

Crazy Pineapple Poker

This is another variation of Hold'em poker. There are three pocket cards and there is a requirement that one pocket card has to be discarded after the flop

At showdown for crazy pineapple poker, the players can use either of the following:

1.      Both of the remaining pocket cards and the three community cards

2.      One of the remaining pocket cards and four community cards

3.      All five of the board cards

7 Card Stud

1.      Seven Card Stud is the most common poker game. Players receive seven cards, three down cards and four up cards. You pick the best five of seven cards and the best hand wins the pot.

2.      There are five betting rounds in Seven Card Stud. One bet and three raises are allowed on each betting round.

3.      Everyone antes. The amount put in the pot before the cards are dealt is predetermined.

4.      Players are dealt three cards, two down and one up.

5.      The lowest up card starts with a bring in bet. If two or more players have the same lowest card the suit decides order. First clubs, then diamonds, hearts, and spades.

6.      Third Street is the first round of betting.

7.      One more card is dealt face up. This is Fourth Street, the second round of betting. The highest hand begins the action by checking or betting.

8.      Yet another card is dealt face up. This is the Fifth Street and the third round of betting. The amount doubles here and continues at this amount for the rest of the game.

9.      Now another card is dealt face up. This is "Sixth Street" and fourth betting round.

10.  The final card is dealt down. This card is the River Card or Seventh Street. We have reached the final round of betting and the best hand wins the pot.

7 Card Stud Hi-Lo

1.      You receive seven cards, three "down" and four "up". You use the best five of seven cards for your high hand and your best five of seven cards for your low hand.

2.      The game is played like Seven Card Stud, but you can't make a double bet on "Fourth Street" if a pair is showing.

3.      The pot is split if somebody qualifies for "Low".

4.      On High the best hand automatically wins half the pot and could win the whole pot. On Low you have to qualify.

5.      You need a five-card hand with different numerical values from 1 to 8 to qualify for the Low half of the pot. The best Low is A,2,3,4,5. The winning Low hand contains the "lowest high card".

6.      If two or more players qualify for Low and have the same highest card, the second lowest high card is the winning hand, and so on.

7.      Straights and flushes don't count against your Low. You can use any cards for the High or the Low, or you can use the same cards for both the High and Low.

8.      Any leftover odd chip belongs with the High. If any players tie for the High part of the pot and there is an odd chip, the player with the highest card gets it. Otherwise the suit decides, going from Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs.

9.      If two or more players tie for the low part of the pot and there is an odd chip, the player with the lowest card gets it. Otherwise the suit decides going from Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, and Spades.

10.  If you scoop a pot, you win the whole pot.

Razz - 7 Card Stud Low

Razz is 7 card stud, but the best low hand wins. It is played with two to eight players. Every player is dealt a total of seven cards, three of them face down, and the other four face up.

Aces are always low. Straights and flushes have no effect on the low value of a hand. The lowest possible hand is A2345.

The Ante

7 card stud has an ante that is 1/5 of the low limit bet. Every player must ante up before the hand begins. The ante does not count towards any future bets.

When every player has 1 card showing, the player with the highest card must bring in, he must place the low limit bet size in the pot. If two or more players share the highest card, the one closest to the dealer's left side must bring in. This bet counts as first round bet.

There are five rounds of betting.

In the first two rounds fixed limit Razz, bets and raises must be equal to the low limit bet size.

In the 3rd, 4rth and 5fth rounds, bets must be equal to the high limit bet size.

3rd street.

Two cards face down and one face up are dealt. The player with the highest card has to bet 1/2 of the low limit bet. He can raise by betting the full low limit bet.

4th street.

Every player receives a 4th card, face up. The player with the lowest hand is the first to fold, check, or bet. If tied, the one closest to the dealer's left will be the first to act.

5th street.

The fifth card is dealt face up. The lowest hand bets first. All bets and raises must be equal to the high limit bet size.

6th street.

The sixth card is dealt face up also. This round is as the previous one.

7th street.

The final card is dealt face down. Betting proceeds as in the previous round. Should all eight players still be in the hand, a single card is placed in the middle of the table face up. Every player may use it.

Showdown.

If you haven't folded by now you will have the option of showing your hand in hopes of taking the pot. The player who bet last is the first to show their hand. Often times a player will muck their hand if they aren't going to win the pot, and don't want their opponents to see what they played.

Omaha

1.The first player sits to the left of the dealer. S/he posts the small blind bet (half of the lower limit stake). The second player Sits to the left of the first and posts the big blind bet (the higher limit stake).

2. The dealer deals four facedown pocket cards. The cards are dealt clockwise, starting with the player on the left of the big blind.

3.The first player on the left of the big blind starts the first round. Betting continues clockwise around the table. This betting is at the table's lower limit stake. In this round, each player must at least call the big blind to stay in the game.

4. The Dealer places three community board cards face-up on the table. These cards are shared by all players.

5. Now in the second round, the first active player on the left of the dealer starts the betting. The round then proceeds around the table, The betting is at the table's lower limit stake.

6.Now the dealer places a fourth community board card face-up on the table.

7. The first active player on the left of the dealer starts the third round. The betting proceeds around the table. This round is set at the table's higher limit stake.

8. The dealer puts a fifth community board card, in the center of the Table.

9. Now the first active player on the left of the dealer starts the fourth round. The betting proceeds around the table. The betting is at the table's higher limit stake.

10. After the fourth round is completed and if more than one player remains, there is a Showdown. Each active player combines any two of his/her four pocket cards and any three of the five community board cards to create the highest valued poker hand possible. The player who creates the highest valued hand wins the pot, minus the rake.

Omaha high - low

Players are first dealt four cards face down, then by five community cards dealt face up. The five community cards may be used by every player.

To make your best five card high and your hands, you must use two hole cards and three board cards. The player with the best high hand wins half the pot. The player with the best low hand wins the other half. If there is no qualifying low hand, the player with the best high hand wins the entire pot.

A qualifying low hand is made with five cards that are all 8 or lower, the ace counts as one. A low hand cannot have any pairs, but straights or flushes are ok.

Ante

In tournaments Omaha Hi Lo sometimes has an ante. Each player has to put a certain amount into the pot. Ante is often 1/10 of the low limit bet size.

Blinds

The small blind is which is 1/2 of the low limit bet size, and the big blind is equal to the low limit bet size. Before the hand begins, the player to the immediate left of the dealer button has to post the small blind, and the player to the left of that player must post the big blind. These bets count towards the player's first round bet, and the player may choose to raise even if nobody else has.

Betting

There are four rounds of betting. In the first two rounds of betting of the fixed limit game all bets must be equal to the size of the low limit bet. In the last two rounds of betting, all bets must be equal to the high limit bet. A maximum of 3 raises are allowed per betting round.

After the blinds have been posted, action begins. If nobody raises, the small blind can call by adding the other 1/2 of the low limit bet he has already put in. Conversely, The big blind may simply check since s/he has already put in the full size of the first round bet.

The Flop.

Three cards are dealt face up. The player immediately to the left of the dealer is the first to act. All bets and raises must be equal to the low limit bet size.

The Turn.

The fourth card is dealt face up. All bets and raises must be equal to the high limit bet size.

The River. A fifth and final card is dealt face up. All bets and raises must be equal to the high limit bet size.

Showdown.

Everyone who has not folded yet can now show their hand and possibly win the pot. The person who bet last is the first to show their hand. Many players prefer to muck their hand if they aren't going to win the pot.

Draw Poker

Draw Poker is played by a maximum of eight players.

In Draw Poker each player receives five cards, dealt face down.

There are two betting rounds. Players who stay in the first round have a chance to change hands by replacing some, none or all of their cards.

After players draw there is the second round. Now follows a showdown. Now the highest hand among active players wins the pot.

About Betting

On the first round, a player, on his turn, must either bet or fold

Check-and-raise is allowed in all Draw games on the second round.

Triple Draw or Low Ball Poker

The game is normally played with one or more blinds, sometimes with an ante added. Some betting structures allow the big blind to be called; other structures require the minimum open to be double the big blind. In limit poker, the usual structure has the limit double after the draw. The most popular forms of lowball are ace-to-five lowball, and deuce-to-seven lowball.

Ace-to-five lowball gets its name because the best hand at that form is 5-4-3-2-A.

Deuce-to-seven lowball gets its name because the best hand at that form is 7-5-4-3-2 (not of the same suit).

The object of the game is to get the lowest possible hand. Aces count as high. Both flushes and straights count against you. This leaves the best hand as 2,3,4,5,7 not suited.

The game involves at most 6 players.

Each player is dealt 5 cards.

First the player to the left of the big blind starts the betting with a small bet.

Now the player 2 spaces to the left of the dealer places a big blind bet.

Next, players are given the chance to discard and replace cards in their hands.

Now another round of betting takes place, followed by another round of drawing.

There comes another round of betting.

The third and final draw takes place, followed by the final round of betting.

Players show their cards, and the lowest hand will win the pot.
