DDos Attack Postpones America’s Cardroom Tournament
18 December 2014
An attack by a hacker group disrupted an America’s Cardroom poker tournament this week, causing the company to cancel its Winning Millions tournament until February.
The issues arose when hackers deployed a Distributed Denial of Service attack on America’s Cardroom, which flooded the site with false traffic, taking the tournament offline in the process.
America’s Cardroom said that the attacks left them unable to provide players with a stable and fair experience, and thus made the decision to delay the tournament until February 22nd, 2015.
