GAMBLING LEGISLATION ATTACHED TO SAFE PORT ACT

A watered down version of the ban on online gambline was at the last minute attached to the Safe Port Act, legislation sure to pass in Congress.     GUARDIAN UNLIMITED Simon Bowers Friday October 20, 2006 PartyGaming chief executive Mitch Garber has said he thinks there is a 50% chance of new prohibitionist US legislation which outlaws online gambling being scrapped within three years should the balance of power in Washington drift away from the Republicans. “That might seem like wishful thinking but we could see a strong backlash from US players … and there could be changes [of control] in the house and senate,” he said.

    FOUNDERS OF NETELLER ARRESTED ON BOTH COASTS OF U.S.

    It has been reported that the founding partners of Neteller were arrested today, one on the west coast in Los Angeles and one on the east coast in New York.Steve Lawrence and John LeFevre established Neteller in 1999 although both are now removed from the company, John in 2002 and Steve as of October 13th, 2006. Many will recognize that as the date the UIGEA and Safe Port act was signed into law by President Bush.
