Leisure and Gaming (LNG) to approach U.S. DoJ for deal
17 April 2009
It seems as if PartyGaming’s non-prosecution agreement with the U.S. DoJ has sparked a trend. Leisure and Gaming plc announced yesterday that they will approach the DoJ in an effort to make a similar deal in regards to their “previous activities” in relation to taking bets from Americans before the UIGEA was passed.
Shortly after the UIGEA was passed, LNG sold their US operations to their ex-CEO for a whopping $1. I have a lot of faith in Barney Frank and iMEGA’s efforts to repeal the UIGEA, and believe it’s only a matter of time before non-U.S. facing casinos/poker rooms/etc. return to the U.S.A for good.
