Station Casinos Poised to Offer Online Poker
19 April 2013
The Nevada Gaming Commission gave Station Casinos the thumbs up on Thursday to develop its online poker software for a Nevada launch.
The gaming commission compared Station Casinos with other major licensed casinos, noting that the others were employing software created by other companies. Station Casinos, on the other hand, will be building its own, using the tools of Ultimate Gaming, a company it acquired as part of its rebuilding process.and operate its own Internet poker system in Nevada.
The Ultimate Gaming software will meet or exceed Nevada’s regulatory expectations, including the ability to detect underage gamblers, out-of-state users, money launders, and problem gamblers.
The software developed by Station Casinos, like all software being used for Nevada’s new online poker industry,is being extensively tested in the agency lab. So far no software has received final approval.
The Station Casinos group consists of ten hotels and casinos on and off the strip, including the Red Rock Casino, Green Valley Casino, and Palace Station Casino.
