It is time again for the World Series Poker Tournament. In Las Vegas thousands have come together with hopes to in the $10,000 buy in event. Just last year paid a huge amount of $12 million to the winner.
Doyle Brunson a skilled player of no limit Texas Hold ‘em and 11 time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth Jr. will sit side by side with many sports stars, as well as Hollywood celebrities and relative novices. As the world’s best known poker tournament starts today.
Last year the accommodation was for 8,773, this year the expanded space enough for 12,000 players. All hope to survive the mathematically prospect of reaching the final table of nine players, which will be July 17th. And will surely have luck on their side.
With the exception of Joe Hachem, whom won in 2005, the last for winners did not make a living playing poker before. Chris Moneymaker, an accountant, set off the poker winnings in 2003. Greg Raymer was patent attorney before winning in 2004. Jamie Gold, last year’s winner, is a Hollywood agent and producer.
