I live in South Africa and have been playing on Full Tilt for years now. Now I am being dictated to by the US Government. “You can’t play anymore because we are closing them down”. Some or other do-gooder who hates the thought of people having fun on-line has decided to show the finger to the millions of on-line players and with the bit of “authority” that he weilds has polished his marble with his bosses by being a total asshole!

It’s about time that Americans wake up. How can you put up with being dictated to like this? Surely in this day & age there are more pressing things to occupy the governments’ mind (mutally exclusive words) than to pester the poker fraternity. Money laundering, fraud, banking anomalies – next thing Full Tilt will be charged with furthering terrorism too.

What about all of the player’s money that is left in our accounts at Full Tilt? Who gets their hands on this money? (aparently running into $Billions!) All power to Full Tilt though, they opened for business hosted on a .co.uk address, so I was back in business with by money intact.

The only reason that I can see for the current state of affairs is that the on-line poker industry was not giving a sizeable cut to the fed. If this is the case, I can see why they’re mad as hell!
