Platinum Poker Giveaways Abound -- Wednesday Freerolls, and Sometimes When Players Least Expect It...!
18 April 2006
PlatinumPoker is now giving away prizes at random. If you’re in action playing at a table for real money, or in a tournament, you could at any time be awarded a free prize from the people at the Curacao-based PlatinumPoker, one of the more well-established poker rooms on the internet. One player will win in this fashion every day, and is notified by email of his or her good fortune. The prizes mostly carry the PlatinumPoker brand, and they include:
- Playing Cards (Manufactured by Gemaco)
- Sweat Shirts
- Poker Chip Sets
- Also, something extra special – long-sleeve, indigo-colored VIP shirts, made of 100% combed cotton, which sell for as much as $50 in department stores. The shirts come in sizes of medium, large, extra large and XXL.
In addition to that, there’s more. PlatinumPoker’s Wednesday night freeroll tournament every week has a special giveaway associated with it. The winner of this weekly tournament always winds with a great prize – in the rotation are iPods and laptop computers, for example. During this particular week, the site is giving away a PlatinumPokerHome Poker Chip Set. It consists of 500 poker chips, emblazoned with the casino’s logo (in denominations of $1, $5, $25, and $100), along with two decks of PlatinumPoker playing cards and a dealer’s button.
The “Free Stuff Freeroll” is a No-Limit Texas Hold’em affair and was instituted with the first event on March 22. On its regular schedule, it starts every Wednesday night at 9 PM Eastern time. There is no buy-in for these tournaments but they do require a “fee” of one “Action Point,” so they are open to real money players only.
