    World Cyber Games Championship

    The World Cyber Games announced the dates and locations for the regional qualifier stages of the 2005 USA championship. All players are invited to compete at the Regionals for FIFA 2005, Need for Speed Underground 2 and Dead or Alive Ultimate. The winning two teams from Halo 2 and Counter-Strike and the winning four players each from Warcraft, Starcraft, and Warhammer 40K qualify for the Regional events. Players who advance during the regional qualifier rounds qualify for the WCG USA National.

    Pong is coming to Vegas

    For the first time, a skill game is being married with a slot machine! On the 2nd of August,  Nevada gambling regulators approved “Bally Pong.” This is a slot machine that will combine skill with luck. It will feature the old Atari game, and hand-eye coordination will substantially affect payout. In 1972 Pong appeared as the first video game. I remember it well, it was quite the sensation!  You turned a knob to paddle a little black ball back and forth over a line.

    When MSN hosted site MIcrosoft Zone discontinued Cribbage last month, it left The American Cribbage Congress without a vehicle to provide Cribbage online.
